Clinic Director. Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking an experienced Clinic Director to lead and manage a new community mental health clinic located in the Catherine Horan Building on the campus of Providence Hospital in Holyoke, MA. This clinic is an important part of CHD’s efforts to integrate behavioral health into primary health care and develop continuums of care. The Director is a key liaison and partner with hospital administration, staff and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and service delivery. Responsibilities include managing clinic systems to insure high quality and efficient clinic operations and fiscal viability, strong staff morale, compliance with licensing and payer regulations, program development, outreach to referral sources, staff supervision, and administrative and budget management. Requirements Professional clinical license required (LICSW, LMHC, etc.). Minimum of eight years outpatient clinic management/administrative and clinical supervisory experience desired. Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial outcomes. Experience with the integration of behavioral health care and primary health as well as substance abuse treatment and BSAS experience. Provides psychotherapeutic counseling, case management and advocacy for individuals, couples, and families. Performs crisis consultation. Engages in community networking with local, state, and regional organizations and the media. Assists in the development of policies and procedures relating to clinical services. Job Description FKO is seeking a Social Worker to manage the organization’s Greater Boston (EEC Region 3 & 6) Supportive Contract with the Department of Children and Families; including case management and implementation of positive behavioral supports and interventions. The Social Worker will have expertise in working with families and youth at risk and have an understanding of child behavior with the knowledge of setting up supports and interventions for student success in an out of school time environment. The Social Worker will assist with: managing the organization’s DCF Supportive Contract, implementing the philosophy of positive behavior guidance, meeting with Site Directors to design program supports, tracking children on afterschool support plans, and making sure all policies and procedures for behavioral incidents are followed. The Social Worker will be dedicated to advance the safety, health and productivity of children by supporting families and utilizing community partners. Specific Responsibilities: Collaborates with local DCF Area Offices to place supportive referrals in FKO program sites; Monitors DCF cases on an ongoing basis, ensuring children and families receive the support services necessary for success; Assesses the social emotional needs of children and makes referrals for services, supports, resources and referrals for children and families; Provides on-site support to program staff around positive behavior guidance through training, modeling and coaching; Facilitates meetings with parents, families, social workers and wrap-around team members; Facilitates staff support meetings and professional development, as needed; Attends meetings with organization’s partners such as school districts, local mental health agencies, etc.; Qualifications Qualified Candidates will possess an upbeat, mission focused, team-oriented attitude; possess the desire to work alongside colleagues, FKO administration and staff; and be reliable and accountable for his/her work. The ideal candidate will have: compassion for supporting children and families; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to promote strategies to widen the circle of supports around families and communities; strong case management, communication and organizational skills; knowledge of school age children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development; demonstrated professional skills in the areas of staff development; program goal setting; and establishing procedures for evaluating the progress of individual children and staff.
